Mini-Workshop – Teacher Appreciation Book

A great end of year gift!!!

Honor your favorite schoolteacher with the most thoughtful and personal gift possible. Forget an apple for the teacher, make her a keepsake she’ll cherish forever, and that won’t collect dust on a knick-knack shelf or end up in a box in the attic!

Putting together a really special gift for your child’s favorite teacher is easy! In your teacher appreciation book, each child will have one page and then you can add a class photo and any additional photos from class events, trips, etc…at the end of the book if you wish.

1. Contact all the parents via email or by mailing a letter and ask them for all materials you’ll need.

  • Photo of each child
  • Answers to a few questions about teacher/school from each child
  • Piece of artwork or two child has created during the year. (optional)
  • Other photos of class activities, field trips, events, etc… (optional)
  • *Money (split the cost of the book evenly among all children in class.
  • Deadline to give you plenty of time to get the book put together and ordered at least 3-4 weeks before the end of the year or when you want to present the book to the teacher.
  • 2. Put your book together. Once you have everything, you’ll need everything in digital format, if you didn’t receive it in digital format, you’ll need (or ask someone who can)to scan in artwork and photos and type up the children’s answers to the questions on one page. Be sure to label each piece with the corresponding child’s name to not confuse anything!

Have everything ready in a folder on your computer so it’s all in one place.

3.Upload the pictures and publish the book using your favorite photo book website, like My Memories Suite 2.0 (use coupon code STMMMS83609 for $10 discount)Mixbook.com or Shutterfly. Many have templates ready made you can use that are school themed, or you can design your own and upload the completed jpeg file as a full page.
