Most Romantic Places

This weeks theme at I Heart Faces is Romantic Places I Love and there is no question to me that has to be Italy. Anywhere in Italy really. I’ve been several times thanks to my parents being Italian and having lots of family there, I wanted to live there once upon a time after spending the summer there after high school. My husband and I have been twice together and just love it.

These photos were taken back in the day, 1999, 2002…before digital cameras were the norm, so they’ve been scanned.  I applied a few actions from the Pioneer Woman to these to help them look better. :)

Venice of course is #1…

Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera is a close second to Venice in terms of Romantic places…just beautiful. Pastel hued buildings just nestled into the cliffside. The Cinque Terre are 5 such villages, very remote and connected by a hiking trail, if you are adventurous enough to tackle it.

wow! you have been everywhere here! I’m impressed you visited the Cinque Terre, not that famous (comparing to Venice and Florence) and out of the tourists usual tour.

My parents are from near Vicenza, so I have lots of aunts, uncles and cousins there. One aunt lives in Verona. But I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. My parents now have an apartment in Schio and spend time there every year.
